Step 2 — Create & Configure a Meta App

A Meta Developer App acts as the bridge between Whoxa CRM and the WhatsApp Business API.

Create the App​

  1. Go to developers.facebook.com and log in with your Meta Business account.
  2. Click My Apps → Create App.
  3. Choose Business as the app type.
  4. Fill in the app name and contact email, then click Create App.

Add the WhatsApp Product​

  1. On your App Dashboard, scroll to Add a Product.
  2. Find WhatsApp and click Set Up.
  3. You will be redirected to the WhatsApp configuration panel.
  1. In the WhatsApp setup panel, under Step 1, select your Business Manager from the dropdown.
  2. Click Continue to confirm the link.

Set the App to Live Mode​

  1. In the top bar of the App Dashboard, switch the toggle from Development to Live.
  2. If prompted, agree to Meta's platform policies.

Important: The app must be in Live mode before you can send messages to real phone numbers. In Development mode, only test numbers work.

Proceed to Step 3 — Generate a Permanent Access Token.
